RINA is currently recruiting for a Site Construction Inspector to join its office in Genoa, or Rome or Naples, Italywithin the Italy Infrastructure & Mobility Division.
Mission
The Site Engineer works directly under customer control. Their mission is to perform a range of engineering tasks with a focus on fieldwork. They utilize their expertise to contribute to the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring adherence to standards, quality, and safety protocols.#LI-MT3
Key Accountabilities
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical specifications, reports, and conduct inspections and studies necessary for works completion.
- Quantity Takeoffs and Cost Estimates: Prepare material quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and bidding documents to support works planning and execution.
- Computer-Assisted Engineering: Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment proficiently to execute engineering tasks efficiently and accurately relate to works construction.
- Technical Review and Interpretation: Review and interpret technical documents and designs under the guidance of experienced engineers. Assist in authoring technical reports and project correspondence.-
- Engineering Support in Fieldwork: Provide engineering support in gathering data collection in the field for projects in various stages of design and construction, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
- Safety and Security: Observe safety and security procedures rigorously, promptly reporting potentially unsafe conditions, and ensuring proper use of equipment and materials to maintain a safe working environment.
Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proficiency in design calculations, drafting, and engineering software.
- Strong understanding of technical documentation and project management processes.
- Ability to review and interpret technical documents and designs effectively.
- Experience in field data collection and willingness to engage in fieldwork activities.
- Commitment to upholding safety standards and protocols.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
